Keeping in shape: Nicole Kidman starts her day with an early morning run in San Francisco, California yesterday


Good genetics undeniable play a major part in Nicole Kidman's enviable physique .
But nobody looks movie star perfect without a serious amount of hard work.

The 43-year-old actress put herself through her paces yesterday as she pounded the pavement around San Francisco Bay.

Dressed in an all black work out ensemble the star huffed and puffed throughout the run as she listened to songs on an iPod.

The black leggings and tight black zip-up athletic jacket highlighted the Moulin Rouge star's slender and toned physique.

She kept her face covered with over-sized black sunglasses and a black cap.

Nicole has been staying in San Francisco while filming her next project Hemingway And Gellhorn, and HBO film about the famous writer alongside Clive Owen.

Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman, both 43, kept a pretty big secret from reporters at Sunday's Golden Globe Awards: they're the proud parents of a new baby girl! Born December 28 at Nashville's Centennial Women's Hospital, newborn Faith Margaret Kidman Urban joins the couple's 2-year-old biological daughter, Sunday Rose. Though she was born via surrogate, Faith Margaret is Urban and Kidman's biological daughter. Kidman is also mother to daughter Bella, 18, and Connor, 15, from her previous marriage to Tom Cruise.

After denying for years that she'd ever had work done, Nicole Kidman, 43, opened up to German magazine TV Movie when asked how she stays wrinkle-free. "I've tried a lot of things, but apart from working out and a good diet, most things don't help," said the mom of three. "I even tried Botox." In 2007, she told Marie Claire, "I am completely natural. I have nothing in my face or anything. I wear sunscreen, and I don't smoke. I take care of myself." "I didn't like how my face looked afterward," she said. "Now I don't use it anymore and I can move my forehead again."

As Nicole Kidman, 43, raises 2-year-old daughter Sunday Rose with husband Keith Urban in Nashville, her adoptive children Isabella and Connor spend most of their time in L.A. with ex Tom Cruise, 48. Though she hasn't been photographed with Isabella, 18, or Connor, 15, since shooting Australia in 2007, Kidman hasn't given up hope that they'll one day spend more time together. Despite the distance between them, Kidman says she's extremely proud of how Cruise has raised Isabella and Connor in her absence.

Nicole Kidman plays Aaron Eckhart's grieving wife in the drama Rabbit Hole, out next month. And while talking about her movie with USA TODAY's Donna Freydkin, she made a point to throw in a good word for her single co-star. "He'll make someone a great husband. Which is actually what Aaron is: a really decent guy with an enormous amount of love to give. So for all those women out there, he's looking for a wife," says Kidman. "He's a really good husband." How does Eckhart feel about the endorsement? Bring it on, he says with a laugh. "From your lips to God's ears. I need a good woman!" he says.
