Two months after Ashlee Simpson, 26, filed for divorce from Pete Wentz, 31. They were spotted together in L.A. March 31. The pair were all smiles as they reunited for a family-friendly outing with adorable son Bronx, 2. This isn't the first post-split get-together for Simpson and Wentz. On March 12, they grabbed burgers and fries at an L.A. In-n-Out Burger and the next day noshed on more greasy eats at a local Taco Bell. "Ashlee's been my best friend for five years," Wentz said in a recent interview. "She's the mother of my child. I have nothing but love and respect for her."

Ashlee Simpson, 26, announced her split from hubby of more than two years, Fall Out Boy rocker Pete Wentz, 31, in early February and just a month later, was photographed at an L.A. mall with another guy. According to E! Online, while shopping in LA, Simpson was spotted getting more than cozy with musician Craig Owens, 26. Owens is the founder of the alternative rock band, Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows (D.R.U.G.S.). Owens is signed to Wentz's record label, Decaydance, and before their partnership went through early last year Wentz even tweeted, "@craigeryowens hey we will be partners in crime soon. come the middle of this month." Talk about a love triangle.

Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz's split may seem shocking to fans, but insiders close to the pair say there's little drama behind the scenes. According to People, sources close to the couple have said they aren't mixing any emotional theatrics into their impending divorce. One person connected to the situation said the pair are riding out the breakup peacefully. The source added that parenting their toddler remains their top priority. "It's all about their 2-year-old son, Bronx for them. They're fantastic parents - Pete says she's a great mom, and she says he's a great father," the insider said. "It's about Bronx's care and well-being and happiness for them." While insiders have maintained the split is drama-free, TMZ reports that Simpson left due to Wentz's antics. "It's really all about Pete's erratic behavior," the source said. "She really wanted out."
