Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart may not get any respect from the Oscars, but Eclipse, their Twilight film release last year, has been nominated for more MTV Movie Awards than another other film. The awards were announced Tuesday and by the time the smoke cleared, Eclipse had been nominated for eight awards. Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson were nominated for best female performance and best male performance respectively, while the film itself is up for best movie, best fight and best kiss.

Smile R-Patz! Water For Elephants co-stars pose on the red carpet in Barcelona for the Spanish premiere but Robert Pattinson has trouble cracking a smile next to Reese Witherspoon


They've been jet-setting around the world promoting their new film over recent weeks, but Robert Pattinson looked like he'd rather be somewhere else last night as he posed with Reese Witherspoon in Barcelona.

The on-screen lovers were celebrating the Spanish premiere of Water For Elephants but as they stood arm in arm together on the red carpet, R-Patz couldn't crack a smile.

Pattinson held Reese around the small of her back but their affection looked more awkward than anything else.

After having promoted the film in Paris the day before in a little red dress, Reese slipped on a knee-length black strapless LBD and matching heels for last night’s viewing.

While the Twilight saga star looked smart in a grey suit and unbuttoned blue shirt alongside his trademark dishevelled hair.

Both stars then took a break from posing, before entering the cinema, to sign autographs for fans.

Earlier in the day Reese had still been in France and was taking advantage of the Parisian shopping district by perusing the stores with her bodyguard.

The 35-year-old tried to dress incognito in skin-tight jeans and a denim shirt but was still recognised by onlookers.

Awkward? Robert Pattinson and Reese Witherspoon posed for pictures on the red-carpet for the premiere of their new film, Water For Elephants, at the Ziegfeld Theatre in New York City


After already complaining about getting intimate with Twilight star Robert Pattinson this week, Reese Witherspoon was once again forced to cozy up close to her younger co-star tonight.

The pair shared an uncomfortable cuddle as they posed for pictures on the red-carpet for the premiere of their new film, Water For Elephants, at the Ziegfeld Theatre in New York City.

The awkward embrace comes after the 35-year-old actress revealed that her steamy sex scenes with the 24-year-old were anything but enjoyable.

Reese described her kissing scenes with the Twilight hunk as 'unpleasant'.

'He had a very runny nose,' she told MTV, adding: 'It wasn’t appealing. It wasn’t pleasant.'

Reese, who married talent agent Jim Toth last month, offered her co-star some advice for his future kissing scenes too.

'Bring a Sudafed,' she joked.

Reese could barely force a smile on the arm of Robert, who had his arm wrapped around her waist.

The duo appeared more comfortable when they posed with their co-star Hal Holbrook, who plays the older version of Pattinison's character.

Regardless of their lacklustre chemistry, the two co-stars looked equally elegant for tonight's occasion.

The recently married actress also showed off her wedding band set, which she received from Toth when the pair exchanged vows only weeks before.

Robert, who is rumoured to be in a relationship with his 21-year-old Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart, looked dashing in a checked charcoal suit with a white shirt and burgundy tie.

While Kristen wasn't on hand to escort him down the red-carpet, the handsome British actor did have his two older sisters, Victoria and Lizzy Pattinson for moral support.

Newlywed Reese Witherspoon, 35, just returned from her honeymoon, but she's already back to work and looking glamorous at her first public event since her wedding day. She posed with Water for Elephants costar Robert Pattinson, wearing her new wedding ring and dazzling in a white Jason Wu cocktail dress accented with black beading. She says being referred to as Mrs. Toth now is simply "great." Water for Elephants hits theaters April 22.

GossipCop have revealed that Robert Pattinson will be gracing the front cover of April's Vanity Fair magazine. And he wasn't posing alone as he was spotted with an alligator in the pictures taken by famous photographer Annie Leibovitz. Vanity Fair will be on newsstands on March 3.

This week's issue of Entertainment Weekly includes the first official photo from The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1. Kristen Stewart, 20, and Robert Pattison, 24, sharing a bed as man and wife on their wedding night. Though the actors have been linked romantically for years, director Bill Condon tells Entertainment Weekly he was worried about how their pivotal love scene would translate on film. "You want to live up to people's expectations," Condon explains. "People take [the movie and characters] personally. When you are interpreting something you have a certain vision of how it will be. Sometimes it is a liberal interpretation, but you hope you get to the essence of something."

For the second year, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson enjoyed some time off together on England's Isle of Wight, a large and lovely resort town right off the mainland. Clad in jeans and black jackets, Pattinson and Stewart surfaced several times at the Isle's Spyglass Inn (the irony) lunching on New Year's Eve, then returning for a spot of music and the countdown with a group of friends that evening. They returned the next day, where according to People they were recognized by "several fans."
