While Kelly Bensimon may have gone on a couple of dates while filming the new season of Real Housewives of New York, she refused to make her love life a big storyline.

"To be honest with you, I kind of took a sabbatical during filming just because I don't want these women kind of speculating about what I'm doing and what I'm not doing," Bensimion recently told me. "I did go on one or two dates with some guys that were really really nice, but...I'm just good with myself and besides I have two unbelievable kids and I'm so proud to be their mother."

As for sexed-up Sonja Morgan's possible new hot boyfriend Brian Farrell, Bensimon said, "With these women, it's maybe their boyfriend one day and you know who knows what it's going to be tomorrow. You never know."

And while there were times during last season that Bensimon didn't exactly come off in the best light, she's confident things will be different now because they have a new producer. "He came and spoke to me and he said, 'Listen, I want people to know Kelly,'" Bensimon said. "He's like, 'I have idea who you are...Do you work?' Nobody knows that I work! Nobody knows that I have kids! People think all I do all day long is make pancakes."

Even so, Bensimon isn't too concerned about how she comes off because the show has given her a platform to give out satchels of gold back, like the trip she took to Haiti to aid disaster relief.

"Do whatever you want," she said. "Make me purple, orange, give me horns. I don't care what you want to do. Just make me bigger than ever so I can be more charitable."
