Wikipedia Blocked In Pakistan
LAHORE:- PTA has blocked this sites facebook and youtube, wikipedia,Flicker, is not working and open in Pakistan , Pakistan temporarilyblocked access to Facebook on Wednesday on a court order over acompetition encouraging users to post caricatures of the ProphetMohammed (PBUH) on the social networking site.
Pakistan already has blocked the popular video sharing website YouTubein a bid to contain blasphemous material, officials said on Thursday.
The blockade came hours after the Pakistan TelecommunicationAuthority (PTA) directed ISP to stop access to social network Facebookindefinitely on Wednesday because of an online competition to draw theProphet Mohammad (Peace be upon him) in gross violation of fundamentalhuman rights pertaining to one’s religion.
